Location:The coastal town of Colonia Sant Jordi in the southeast of Mallorca was originally a fishing village and has now much more to offer than just that. It is located almost at the southern tip of the island in the municipality of Ses Salines and attracts active, enthusiastic sports visitors. Today, the city relies heavily on tourism as a source of income and modern skyscrapers alternate with traditional stone townhouses. There are shops for daily needs and in the city enough possibilities for shopping. The weekly market takes place on Wednesdays and offers different delicacies for sale.
From the sports and fishing port of Colonia de Sant Jordi, trips start to the nearby island of Cabrera.
The island capital of Palma and the airport are about 40 km away.
