Location:Santa Ponca is a town in the southwest of the Balearic island of Mallorca and belongs to the municipality of Calvia. It is grouped around an elongated bay surrounded by steep cliffs and has two large sandy beaches. For water sports enthusiasts there are opportunities for surfing or water skiing. There are several golf courses waiting for the friends of golf.
Separated from a coastal road, restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops stretch along the beach zone. A few minutes' walk from the center there is a picturesque marina and along the north and south shores stretch the mansions of wealthy foreigners and Spaniards. Numerous Germans have settled here.
The distance to the island's capital Palma and to the airport is about 20 kilometers.
